Congratulations to Sula on Passing Her PhD Qualifying Exam

On June 5, 2026, the HEART-GeN Lab had two reasons to celebrate Sula Perloff: she successfully passed her PhD qualifying exam, and it was also her birthday.

Passing the qualifying exam is a major milestone in doctoral training. It marks an important transition toward independent scholarship, deeper scientific ownership, and the next stage of dissertation research.

Sula brings thoughtful questions, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to the lab. We are proud of the work she has put into this milestone and excited to support the research she will continue building as a PhD candidate.
